If you are interested in being a tutor email the Finance Club the business classes you would like to tutor and the grade in that class(you MUST have earned a grade of B or higher). And then we will match you up, and the rest is up to you to determine times, cost, etc.

Capital One Recruiters:
This Wednesday (Sept 16th) at 7pm CAPITAL ONE recruiters are coming to meet with Finance Club :) We will be meeting in Pamplin 3004. None finance club members are welcome as well, so tell your friends. REMEMBER to bring your RESUME and NB/pen if you wish to take notes. Capital One will be bringing pizza and drinks! They will mostly be talking about Capital One and the Rotation Program since that is what they are primarily recruiting for (both full-time and internships). However, there are other analyst positions available at Capital One, which they are prepared to answer questions about as well. September 4, 2008:
Look for the following blurb in the upcoming Finance Department newsletter:

"The 2008-2009 school year promises to be an exciting one for the Finance Club at Virginia Tech. Under the new leadership of Scott Rigney, President, and Gina An, Treasurer, the club’s purpose and role in the College of Business is being redefined. Last year, the club sponsored an investment portfolio challenge in partnership with Dr. Arthur Keown’s introductory level finance courses. The simulation had over 500 participants in both fall and spring semesters. Students with the best performing portfolios were rewarded and their investment prowess was acknowledged. The club will be sponsoring this event once again and hopes to continue doing so into the foreseeable future. Club members can expect to hear of several career information sessions and networking opportunities with leading companies, resume building and interview workshops, and social events throughout the 2008-2009 school year. The Finance Club recently revealed its brand new website, finance.org.vt.edu, which it hopes will become an exceptional tool for members to utilize in staying up-to-date with club events. While not being restricted to Pamplin Finance majors, the club strives to provide an outlet for student networking, career education, and student-faculty interaction for those interested in finance and careers in finance."
